Do you think petrol-based thrills are just for men? You could not be more incorrect. That was shown by the 120 ladies who came to enjoy the ninth edition of the Krone Ladies Race Day. For one day, the Red Bull Ring was firmly in female hands. They travelled from all over Austria to experience their passion for motorsport at the Red Bull Ring. It is the fourth or fifth time that many of them have taken part.
“I was planning to break the 200km/h mark, and I made it,” said one proud participant after her Lead & Follow Session at the Red Bull Ring. The ladies put the pedal down in fantastic Porsche sports cars such as the Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS, Porsche 911 Targa 4S (992) and Porsche Panamera 4S E-Hybrid. In addition, instructors Michelle Halder, Alina Loibnegger and Corinna Kamper provided some tips and tricks.
During the Krone Ladies Race Day, the participants had the following activities packed with horsepower to enjoy:
- Lead & Follow Session with the latest Porsche models on the race track
- KTM X-Bow adventure laps in the Driving Center
- Drift sessions with Porsche models in the Driving Center
- KTM X-Bow Race Taxi on the race track
- Driving a kart on the kart track or in an off-road buggy on the 4WD test track
Another activity on the schedule was a make-up and hairstyling session followed by a photo shoot. Before posing for the professional photographers, the ladies were styled by Intercoiffeur Mayer. They were also well fed and replenished. In the chill-out area there was a candy bar with snacks from Kellys available, while dinner was served in the modern Red Bull Wing – with an Organics Bar and a fabulous view of the racetrack.
The mood among the participants at the end of the day was unanimous: “That was indescribably good! We’ll be back next year.” In 2023, the Krone Ladies Race Day will mark its tenth anniversary.
