Arrive at the MotoGP relaxed and ready!

For the Bitci Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich 2021 from 13 to 15 August 2021, thousands of fans from around the world will be travelling again to the Red Bull Ring and ensuring for a great atmosphere on and off the racing circuit.

A requirement for entering the event complex for the first time each day along with a ticket, is valid proof that a visitor is either vaccinated, has tested negatively or recovered from Covid-19. It is strongly recommended to travel with a valid test result and proof of this or with a Green Pass in order to avoid waiting at the circuit. Testing facilities are also available at car parks for a fee. (Antigen test 33 Euro / PCR test 99 Euro) — advance bookings are possible on www.test-strasse.at.

There are numerous options for making a pleasant journey here – with public transport recommended, if possible. Buses and trains can take you with great ease to the Red Bull Ring.

All information on arrival routes, parking etc

Take note! Anyone who doesn’t want to miss the big motorsport event at the start of August can still get tickets for 13 to 15 August here. Side events on the racing circuit and in the air as well as music acts and a vehicle exhibition in the Spielberg MotoGP Bike City a whole load of fun around the top class motorsport.

All roads lead to Spielberg!

Access roads to the Red Bull Ring and most of the main traffic routes in Austria are not expected to experience any problems on the first MotoGP weekend. Planning your route carefully in advance can save a lot of time, however, and put you in pole position for finding a parking sport. The Ö3 traffic service will keep you up to date with reliable info on the latest traffic situation around the Red Bull Ring.

The following routes are recommended for arrival

  • Vienna / East Austria: S6 – St. Michael interchange – S36
  • Graz / South Styria A9 – Gleinalm tunnel – St. Michael interchange – S36
  • Salzburg: A10 – B96 – St. Michael im Lungau – Tamsweg – Murau – Judenburg
  • Upper Austria: A9 – Bosruck tunnel – St. Michael interchange – S36
  • Carinthia: B317 – Neumarkter Sattel – Judenburg – S36 or alternatively via A2 – B78 über Obdach – Weißkirchen in der Steiermark  (follow local signs)
  • Schladming / Selzthal region: B320 – Liezen – B113 – Trieben (not A9) – B114 – Triebener Tauern – Pöls – via Judenburg to the Red Bull Ring (follow local signs)

The early bird catches the worm – and has a relaxed arrival to the Red Bull Ring!

Fans coming from the St. Michael interchange will travel via the S36 Murtal highway and get directed through the Knittelfeld-West and Zeltweg-Ost exits, while those coming from Klagenfurt will be directed through the Zeltweg-West exit to reach the Red Bull Ring. Should the traffic situation make using these exits impossible, you should follow the instructions provided.

True bikers have the option of numerous spectacular motorcycling routes via the Triebener Tauern or Gaberl passes. Biker wardrobes (Fee: 8,- €) are offered on site at parking areas P11, P5, P7, P10.

Having come close to their destination, visitors will be directed to a free and available parking space corresponding with the colour on their MotoGP ticket, which will be a short walk from the events complex.

True bikers sleep under the night sky!

Motorsport fans can set up base just a stone’s throw away from the Red Bull Ring again this year at the campsites in order to enjoy the racing atmosphere up close. Those who want to arrive on Wednesday or Thursday will have a very easy journey – higher traffic volumes are expected on Friday and Saturday, and arrival is recommended before 9:00 CET. In order to divide arrivals as efficiently as possible, campers will be led on Thursday from the S36 Murtal highway by LED signs. The Knittelfeld West exit is the best one to take for the Pink, Green, Purple, Yellow and Orange campsites, while for the Blue and Red campsites, the Zeltweg West exit is best. Campers can depart until 20:00 CET on Sunday.

On your bike – park & bike

Want to reach your destination easily whilst getting active? ‘On your bike‘ is the motto again this year for all fans from the region or those who want the enjoy the splendid nature on the final kilometres to the racing circuit and avoid any queues.

Two park & bike car parks are available to visitors:

  • Großlobming (7.3 km away, near Schlossweg 19, 8734 Großlobming)
  • Weißkirchen (9.7 km away, B77, Judenburgerstraße 32, 8741 Weißkirchen)

Cycle routes from the Park & Bike car parks to the racing circuit are all signposted. A bike park is located near the Red Bull Ring on the L503 Spielbergerstraße.
