What’s so special about the Red Bull Ring Classics? The action is just as intense on the track as it is off it. The paddock will buzz with the energy of years gone by as racing cars make their way through crowds of fans. This is the place you can get up close and personal with these automotive treasures. Talking to drivers isn’t just allowed, it’s encouraged. This is exactly what makes the classic car scene unique – it can be a little less structured and more down to earth than modern motorsport, as well as more approachable and less complicated. Experience an “once in a lifetime experience” at the exclusive Service Road Tour.
Exciting programme for both young and old
From 09 to 11 June, motorsport fans of all ages can expect a top-of-the-range programme of activities both on and off the track.
In Box 28 the vehicle exhibition with, among other things, the Ferrari Sharknoses (1961) and the two F1 cars from Scuderia Toro Rosso STR3 (2008) and STR10 (2015) makes fan hearts beat faster. Guests such as three-time Le Mans winner Marco Werner as well as Peter and Stefan Mücke (DTM/DRM drivers) will be on stage throughout the weekend to give interviews and autographs. If you start feeling peckish, treat yourself to something delicious in the Bull’s Lane. This covered terrace is the perfect place to enjoy the action on track with a refreshing Red Bull Energy Drink or Thalheim beer.
The little ones can let off steam on the bouncy castle or on our kids racer. Or what about a family showdown on our Kart Track? Visitors can book driving experiences on the Kart Track as well as on our Off-road Car Track and Off-road Bike Track throughout the weekend.
Around noon, fans should not only keep their eyes on the cars, but also on the sky. Because the F4U-4 “Corsair” of the Flying Bulls makes a detour to the Murtal and does a lap of honor over the Red Bull Ring
Legends of the past
Our spectacular range of racing series will be rounded off by show runs. At the start are replicas of the Ferrari Sharknose F156 from 1961, the original Lotus 21 with which Jim Clark contested the 1961 Italian GP and the Lotus 18 Borgward F1 (1961). As a contrast to the historical treasures, Thomas Jackermeier’s Aston Martin Valkyrie is in action. Prince Leopold of Bavaria won’t miss the opportunity to also take part in the Red Bull Ring Classics with his BMW 3.0 CSL either.
World-class starting grid
The heroes of yesteryear and fans are looking forward to the breathtaking cars of Group C Supercup, CanAm & Sportscars and Boss GP. The Golden Era touring cars are a special treat for sports car fans. The starting field includes Altfried Heger in an Audi V8 Quattro (1990) and the father-son duo Peter and Stefan Mücke in a Ford Capri Turbo Zakspeed from 1980.
The Youngtimer Touring Car Challenge, a colourful mix of various racing cars built up until 1990, will be a feast for your eyes and ears. Touring cars, sports cars and prototypes will line up alongside original racers from the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the US IMSA series.
Family-friendly prices
The ticket prices are family friendly. There’s no admission fee on Friday. Day tickets for Saturday and Sunday cost 35 Euro. Children up to the age of 15 can get in free when accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket. Please note: Children up to the age of 15 require a free children’s ticket.
Tickets are available at the box offices (open from 08:00 a.m.). Your event ticket gives you access to all open grandstands, the paddock and the Pit Lane Walk on Sunday (first come, first served applies).
