Are you a fan of fast bikes and thrilling race action? Then you won’t want to miss the new series ‘Born Racers’. The six-part documentary series shows the exciting world of up-and-coming talents in motorbike racing who are seeking to make a name for themselves on the Grand Prix scene via the medium of the Red Bull MotoGP™ Rookies Cup.

For the past 17 years, the Red Bull MotoGP™ Rookies Cup has been the perfect launch pad for young racers. Here, 15-year-olds can seize the opportunity of a lifetime – but the road to the top is fraught with mental pressures and physical hardships.

Behind the scenes

Born Racers’ takes you behind the scenes and shows the life trials that these talented youngsters go through. You get an insight into the enormous pressure, the doubts and the rivalries, but also the friendships that are forged on the path to success.

Pedro Acosta, MotoGP™ Rookie of the 2024 season, remembers his time in the Rookies Cup well: “It was a great time where I made great friends and had a lot of fun, but I also suffered a lot.” The Rookies Cup is a championship that has attracted worldwide attention and produced many successful riders.

Success stories and big names

There are currently 29 former Red Bull Rookies competing in the major world championships, including nine in MotoGP™. The series has already produced more than 200 victories and nine world champions in Moto3, Moto2 and MotoGP™.

  • Spain: DAZN starting on 4th August
  • UK: TNT Sports starting on 27th June; Discovery+ starting on 18th July
  • France: Canal+ starting on 9th June
  • USA: TruTV starting on 28th June; Max starting on 18th July
  • Czech Republic, Slovakia: Canal+ starting on 1st August
