Smoking tyres and roaring engines? The Histo Cup offers all of that and much more besides. It all began 25 years ago on a modest scale but has now grown into one of the largest historic circuit events in Central Europe. Fans can look forward to a richly diverse congregation of vehicles ranging from the Steyr Puch to the Ferrari, and from 1960s oldies to the modern turbocharged racing cars of today. With a huge field of around 300 contestants, the racing on the track is set to be highly competitive.
There will be three overall categories and a total of twelve separate racing series:
- Historic Racing Category: Group K, Special Touring Cars (STW), Formula Historic, Classica Trophy
- Club Racing Category: BMW 325 Challenge, Mini Cooper Cup, Porsche Classic Cup, Ravenol 1-hour Team Race, Mazda MX5 Cup
- Modern Racing Category: Touring Car Open (TCO), Young Timer, Formula Renault 2.0
