All roads lead to the MotoGP at the Red Bull Ring

The most important information on getting to the CryptoDATA Motorrad Grand Prix von Österreich 2022 at a glance.
Fans arrive at the Red Bull Ring

Motorsport fans are descending from all corners of the world to the Red Bull Ring in the heart of Austria this week. If possible, we recommend that you take public transport instead of your own car. It’s all about taking the bike again this year. A central Park & Bike car park is available near the race track at the Therme Fohnsdorf, which can be reached via the S36 road from both directions via the Judenburg-Ost exit. You can find detailed directions to the Park & Bike car park here.

Other attractive alternatives are to travel by bus and train. Within Styria you can travel with a leisure ticket for only eleven Euro per day, while you can travel from anywhere in Austria to Knittelfeld train station with ÖBB Sparschiene tickets. From Knittelfeld train station, you can take the free regional shuttle bus to the Red Bull Ring and back again after the race. Detailed information on the travel times and stops of the regional shuttle buses can be found here.

Arriving early pays

On the MotoGP weekend, no major disruptions are expected on the access roads to the Red Bull Ring or most of Austria’s main routes. Whichever means of transport you choose, the general rule is: if you arrive early, you will get there faster – as increased traffic is to be expected from Friday to Sunday. Depending on your arrival route, our stewards will show you to the nearest car park, which is within walking distance of the race track. Please make a note of your car park number, which is indicated at the entrance to each car park.

For bikers, biker cloakrooms are available in the P5, P7, P10 and P11 car parks for a fee of 10 Euro.

Real bikers sleep in the open air!

There are several campsites located within a few minutes’ walking distance of the Red Bull Ring. MotoGP fans can therefore always be close to the action just a few steps away from the racetrack. If you choose to arrive as soon as Wednesday or Thursday, you will be sure to reach your destination without any problems. For the best possible organisation of arrivals, campers will be guided along the S36 Murtal expressway on Thursday with LED signs. Campers can find more information here.

Tickets are still available!

Take note – if you don’t want to miss the big motorsport show from 19 to 21 August at the Red Bull Ring, you can still secure tickets here. Side events on the race track and in the air such as the Red Bull X Masters of Dirt FMX Show at MotoGP Bike City also guarantee plenty of entertainment. You can find the schedule here.
